Our Groups

At Tik Tak Childcare, we provide a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment tailored to each stage of your child’s development. We divide our care and education into three key age groups, allowing us to meet children’s individual needs while applying our enriched curriculum and unique blend of educational methods.

We incorporate elements of the Scout Method, Montessori education, and Le Bon Départ (LBD) psychomotor learning, all designed to nurture the whole child and promote key life skills such as independence, responsibility, communication, and collaboration.

Tik Tak Childcare

Baby Room (0–2 years)

Ratio: 1 adult to 3 children
Maximum group size: 9 babies

Our Baby Room is a calm, nurturing space designed to provide a gentle and loving transition from home to childcare. We understand how important it is for babies to feel safe and secure, so we prioritise building strong, trusting relationships between each baby and their Key Person. This consistency helps babies settle confidently and feel emotionally supported throughout their day.

With a maximum of 9 babies and a 1:3 adult-to-child ratio, we provide personalised, attentive care tailored to each child’s needs. Our experienced team focuses on nurturing emotional security alongside early sensory exploration.

Using Montessori-inspired sensory materials and engaging Le Bon Départ rhythm and movement sessions, we support babies in developing early communication, motor skills, and a deep sense of trust in their environment—foundations that enable confident growth and joyful learning

Tik Tak Childcare

Toddlers (2–3 years)

Ratio: 1 adult to 5 children

Our Toddler Room supports children as they take important steps toward independence, confidence, and communication. At this stage, children are curious, energetic, and eager to explore the world around them.

With a 1:5 adult-to-child ratio, our team provides nurturing support while encouraging each child’s growing sense of self. Daily routines are designed to build practical life skills—such as putting on coats, feeding themselves, and tidying up—through playful learning and gentle guidance.

We use the Scout Method to introduce concepts of responsibility, respect, and teamwork in a way toddlers can understand and enjoy. Montessori activities help develop independence and focus, while Le Bon Départ sessions strengthen fine motor skills, rhythm, and early language through movement and music.

It’s a warm, stimulating environment where children are free to express themselves, connect with others, and learn through hands-on discovery.

Tik Tak Childcare

Pre-School (3–5 years)

Ratio: 1 adult to 8 children

Our Pre-School group is where children truly come into their own. This stage is all about building confidence, independence, and the essential life skills that prepare them not only for school—but for the wider world.

Through a thoughtfully planned curriculum, children take part in purposeful, project-based learning and daily routines that promote critical thinking, resilience, and emotional growth. We teach practical skills like self-care, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and environmental awareness in ways that feel natural and engaging.

We combine Montessori-inspired activities with the values of the Scout Method, encouraging leadership, collaboration, and responsibility. Le Bon Départ rhythm and coordination sessions continue to support physical development, focus, and expressive language through movement and music.

As children approach school age, we place special focus on school readiness—supporting them in developing key skills such as listening and attention, early literacy and numeracy, emotional regulation, and independence in daily routines. We also work closely with families to ensure a smooth and confident transition from nursery to school, including support with school visits, transitions, and preparation for classroom expectations.

With gentle guidance and growing independence, children leave our Pre-School as capable, kind, and curious learners—ready to thrive in their next chapter.
