The Top 20 Nursery Awards are based on feedback from parents, relatives and guardians of children attending nurseries across the UK. For the 2026 awards, daynurseries.co.uk considered more than 34,000 reviews when identifying the top-rated nurseries in each region.

The review score used for the awards takes into account the number of reviews received, the average of the individual ratings and the size of the nursery. Eligible nurseries must also meet the required regulatory authority compliance criteria.
